What stays in the browser

Every page and every tool here works without telling us who you are. There is no sign-up, no form and no advertising. A number or a date typed into a tool is handled by script inside your own tab, and eorilookup.com never receives it.
The storage this site writes
| Name | Holds | Lifetime | To delete it |
|---|---|---|---|
| eo-route | Which EORI number page: the person moving goods, the place of business, whether an EU number is held, the activities ticked | Stays until deleted; the next change replaces it | Wipe this site's data in the browser's settings |
| eo-need | Do I need one page: who you are, where you are established, the yearly declarations, the licence answer | Same | Same |
| eo-apply | Where to apply page: the situation chosen and the country typed | Same | Same |
| eo-fmt | Formats page: the prefix opened last in the table | Same | Same |
| eo-keep | Lifetime page: the reason, the date and the record change chosen | Same | Same |
| deck: plus the page path and the tool name | Up to five checks saved by you on that tool, each with your name for it and the values entered. Six tool pages, so six such names | Stays until deleted | The × beside a slot, the button that empties them all, or wiping site data |
| deckmode: plus the site's address | The last mode picked: One number, List and VAT or Full trace | Stays until deleted | Pick another mode, or wipe site data |
| theme | A light or dark choice, when you made one | Until you return to the device setting | Choose the device setting in the colour switch |
| look | Which of the two appearances is on | Stays until deleted | Wipe site data |
The checker on the front page writes nothing about what you type. Storage is touched only by the tool pages above and by the save slots, and only once you change a field or press the save button.
Your colour and look choices are mirrored in the name of the browser tab, so a page opened next in that tab starts in the same colours even when storage is blocked. Closing the tab discards the mirror.
The offline copy
Once you have loaded the site over https, a service worker saves its pages, stylesheets, scripts and icons into Cache Storage, in a store called v- followed by the build code. Only this site's files are kept there, never anything you entered. A newer build swaps the old copy out, and wiping site data deletes it.
A file on request
The list checker can export its rows as CSV. The file is assembled on your device from what the screen shows and lands wherever you save it.
What the host sees
Cloudflare delivers the pages. It sees the IP address and browser type behind every request, because it needs them to hand over the page and ward off attacks. None of it is used here to track or profile people, and no analytics or advertising script runs.
Your rights
The UK GDPR and the EU GDPR let you ask for the personal data a service keeps on you, request correction or erasure, and object to its use. The tools leave us nothing to keep. If you have written to us, ask at contact@eorilookup.com. UK complaints go to the ICO, the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU, to the data protection authority of your own country.
We keep an email while its question is unresolved and delete it afterwards. It serves the reply and no other purpose.
